Remember the bad old days of being a console gamer in Europe, when you had to wait ages for official releases of games or wrestle with draconian region-locking practices? Of course you do – and up until a couple of days ago, Sega fans had been feeling like those days were back.
Sega 3D Classics Collection, an excellent Nintendo 3DS compilation featuring M2’s acclaimed updates of classic games, has been out for quite a while in Japan (about eight months, now). North America got its own release in April this year. For those of us in Europe though, there was no news on a release date until this past weekend, when Sega confirmed that the game will arrive in this region – and it’ll release on November 4th, physically as well as digitally.
The games are as follows (with other regional releases also including a secret tenth game, Fantasy Zone):
- Altered Beast
- Fantasy Zone II
- Fantasy Zone II W
- Galaxy Force II
- Maze Walker
- Power Drift
- Puyo Puyo 2
- Sonic The Hedgehog
- Thunder Blade
