Yee-ha! There is a possibility that The Last Ninja will be making a comeback in glorious HD. System 3’s boss Mark Cale has promised to consider revisiting the first game if this post about the title on the company’s Facebook page is Liked 100,000 times:
“It’s a bit of an experiment,” he tells us, “so we’re giving it a push to see what interest there is. We got more than 1,100 Likes in the first hour which was encouraging.” The Last Ninja was hugely successful, becoming one of the most-bought releases on the Commodore 64. It spawned two sequels and it was re-released on the Wii Virtual Console in 2008.
