If you happen to be in the Yorkshire area and fancy some excellent gaming-related events this week, the first ever Yorkshire Games Festival is taking place from 9th – 13th November at the National Media Museum in Bradford.
Amongst the many guests at the event will be Charles Cecil, Warren Spector andJohn Romero, each of whom will be giving talks. For the less retro amongst you, the Family Weekend offers an opportunity to build the National Media Museum in Minecraft, meet YouTubers from The Yogscast and take part in Super Smash Bros tournaments and try the new Pokémon games at the Nintendo Zone. Also at the Nintendo Zone, you’ll be able to try out the new Nintendo Classic Mini: Nintendo Entertainment System, a rather excellent plug-and-play tribute to the 8-bit hit.
