CFK might not be a company you know tremendously well right now, but the Korean games company is working to bring a couple of retro classics to Steam.

The more well-known to Western audiences will be Wonder Boy Returns. Featuring gameplay based on the original 1986 arcade game, Wonder Boy Returns has all-new enemies and bosses as well as redrawn graphics to bring the look of the game into the modern era. The old Sega series really seems to be retro gaming’s unsung hot property this year – beside Wonder Boy Returns, we’re also awaiting the spiritual sequel Monster Boy And The Cursed Kingdom and Wonder Boy III remake Wonder Boy: The Dragon’s Trap. Wonder Boy Returns is set to launch this autumn via Steam, and you can see the trailer above.

If you’re a long-time import aficionado, you might remember the other game that CFK is bringing to Steam. Princess Maker 2 Refine is an upgraded version of Gainax’s 1994 hit Princess Maker 2, a simulation game in which you raise your daughter to inherit your kingdom. The original game launched on Japanese computers such as the NEC PC-98 and FM Towns range, as well as consoles such as the PC Engine, Sega Saturn and PlayStation 2. The game didn’t originally receive an English language release, but was very popular overseas. Princess Maker 2 Refine is set to go up for pre-order on Steam shortly and will be available on October 3rd. You can see the trailer below, and follow the Facebook page for more information.
