While the WipEout series gained huge attention from the mainstream for its inclusion of licensed music, Psygnosis’ in-house musician Tim Wright was a key part of the series in its early days. As well as contributing the majority of the first game’s soundtrack, his work can also be found in WipEout 2097 (particularly non-PlayStation versions, where he was the sole composer) and WipEout Pure.

Now he’s back with a remix album called Chillout, a double CD album featuring ambient remixes of his work from across the series – you can hear a work-in-progress version of Operatique above, and DOH-T below. As well as the physical CDs, the package contains goodies such as a double-sided poster featuring work from original WipEout artists.
