Issue 138 of Retro Gamer has hit the shelves, and is jam-packed with features on your favourite retro games, systems and developers. Leading the issue is our Bluffer’s Guide To Point-And-Click Adventures, examining the history of a genre which has given us such classics as The Secret Of Monkey Island, Broken Sword and Day Of The Tentacle.

Elsewhere in the issue, you can find Capcom’s classic vertically scrolling run-and-gun in the Ultimate Guide To Commando, a 25th anniversary retrospective on Sega’s handheld Game Gear console and the history of Star Wars: Dark Forces and its epic Jedi Knight sequels.

We’ve also got a making of DMA Designs’ futuristic mercenary title Hired Guns, the top 25 Sinclair ZX81 games, a delve into the archives of Sirius Software and a Minority Report on 11 Dragon 32 games you must play. And if that wasn’t enough, we’ve even managed to track down the elusive Chris Sawyer to talk about his classic games including Transport Tycoon and Rollercoaster Tycoon.

Tempted? Excellent, we knew you would be. Retro Gamer 138 can be bought now from all good newsagents, or ordered directly from Imagine Publishing via ImagineShop.co.uk. For those of you who prefer digital devices over print magazines (don’t worry, we won’t tell) you can pick up the issue at GreatDigitalMags.com.
