Plug in a PS2 and you’ll likely notice it runs with a slightly jiggle or flicker. The Mcbazel GBS-C transforms this picture to output a cleaner image on more modern displays. On top of that, though, it also functions as a regular FHD upscaler for your old PlayStation games. This is one for those with plenty of hours to spend in front of a retro backlog.

We’re moving slightly towards the edge of that retro classification here, but if you know someone tied to their Xbox in the early ’00s you’ll want to check out this Retro Fighters Hunter controller. Beyblade X Sneak Attack Battle Set With Beystadium Arena, Rampart Aegis Gb & Cutter Shinobi Lf, 2 Right-Spinning Takara Tomy Battling Tops Game Toys, 2 Launchers, Ages 8+

Beyblade X Sneak Attack Battle Set

You might not have noticed it, but 2026 was actually the year the Beyblade came back into fashion. We’re talking a massive custom fanbase, thousands of dollars spent on fine-tuning spinning tops, and worldwide championships once again taking over playgrounds. Beyblade X is the latest iteration of the classic battle brand, and this Sneak Attack set brings two spinners and an arena to a sub-$50 price point.

Pros

  • Everything they need to get started
  • Customizable and easily modded tops
  • Includes Beyblade X X-celerator system

Cons

  • 8+ only

Tamagotchi Original - Starry Shower

Tamagotchi

The Tamagotchi also made an incredible comeback in 2026, though most of us tasked with caring for these creates back in the ’90s might have a little less time to give them the attention they deserve these days. Still, it seems it’s time to introduce the next generation to the little pets that could die at any moment – and thankfully there’s a good selection available at Amazon.

Pros

  • Great under $20 stocking filler
  • Original generation 2 features

Cons

  • Newer-gen features not available

Furby Galaxy Edition, Glow in the Dark, 15 Fashion Accessories, Interactive Plush Toys for 6 Year Old Girls & Boys & Up, Voice Activated Animatronic (amazon Exclusive)

Furby Galaxy Edition

Hasbro dug up its Furby collection a couple of years ago, but with the ’90s resurgence we’ve seen in the last few months the line has doubled down on new designs. You’ll now find a whole army of sentient robots lining store shelves, and they’re pretty much as you remember them (with the key difference they can actually be turned off now). These little fuzzies speak, dance, light up, and communicate with each other.

Pros

  • Doesn’t require internet connection
  • Can communicate between two Furbies
  • Range of designs and styles to choose from

Cons

  • They can actually turn off these days
  • 6+ only

Hasbro Gaming Bop It Extreme Electronic Game for 1 or More Players, Fun Party Interactive Game for Kids Ages 8+, 4 Modes Including One-On-One Mode (amazon Exclusive)

Bop It

Bop It kids rise up, the latest iteration of the surprisingly addictive instruction-following game bears a strong resemblance to the OG Bop It Extreme 2 we all flung about. Without that translucent black plastic and grey rubber it doesn’t look quite as impressive as the ’00s iteration that rose to fame, but you’re still getting the full twist, pull, spin, and flick package here, compared to the lame two-pronged model.

Pros

  • All 5 controls available
  • Classic game modes still available
  • Some original sound effects intact

Cons

  • 8+ only

Hasbro Gaming Simon Handheld Electronic Memory Game With Lights and Sounds for Kids Ages 8 and Up

Simon

That’s right, Hasbro is still making Simon. The late ’70s / early ’80s memory game has pervaded nostalgic takes on decades before, but can still be found across the web. It’s been reinvented a number of times, with different Air and Swipe models, but this classic version is still available with its classic gameplay intact.

Pros

  • Simple but addictive memory game
  • Some modern updates around power and controls
  • Physical buttons (unlike Simon Swipe)

Cons

  • One game mode only
  • 8+ only

Space Hopper Ball - Retro Orange Bouncing Ride-On Ball (colors May Vary)

Pros

  • Original design
  • Foot pump included
  • Holds up to 220lbs

Cons

  • Listed colors can vary
  • 6+ only

Best retro tech gifts

Snowsky/fiio Echo Mini Hifi Bluetooth Mp3 Player, 15hours Playback, Independent Volume Control With 3.5mm/4.4mm Headphones Outputs (sky Blue)

FiiO
Snowsky Echo Mini

SnowSky / FiiO’s Echo Mini is the most affordable digital audio player I’ve come across so far. It’s more of fun-styled MP3 player than a no-holds barred audiophile listening tool, but if you know someone getting into (or back into) owning their own digital files it’s a fantastic starting point. The battery supports up to 15 hours of playback and the whole thing can still connect to wireless headphones with Bluetooth 5.3.

Pros

  • Bluetooth for easy wireless listening
  • Full color display
  • Supports MP3, FLAC and more
  • 15 hour battery life
  • Cute cassette tape design
  • Great starter DAP

Cons

  • Not an enthusiast’s high-res device
  • Needs additional memory cards past 8GB

JLab Rewind 2

JLab Rewind 2

The JLab Rewind 2 is a simple set of headphones, but ones styled in that classic puffy orange style of yore. It’s a retro design with more modern innards, though; Bluetooth and Google Fast Pair, 20 hours of battery, three EQ presets to choose from, and multipoint connections. For a simple set of wireless headphones that won’t break the bank but still hit that nostalgic vibe, these are a winner.

Pros

  • Retro look and style
  • Bluetooth and multi-device connection
  • 20 hours battery life
  • Lightweight, slimline design
  • Bass Boost EQ profile available

Cons

  • Not going to give you the best audio quality
  • Generally low volume

Fiio Dm13 Multifunctional Portable Stereo Cd Player With Long-Lasting Battery, Supports Usb Ripping, Optical/coaxial/3.5mm/4.4mm Outputs (skylight Bluetooth)

FiiO DM13 CD Player

CD players are big business in 2026, so while you might have spent about $70 on a decent spinner a few years ago you’re looking much further up the price scale these days. Still this FiiO model is consistently one of the better performers, allowing for your full disc collection to shine through with more modern comforts without reaching the sky-high prices of more specialist kit.

Pros

  • Easy every day CD player
  • Also supports ripping for an all-in-one expeirence
  • Bluetooth compatible
  • 99-level volume control
  • 3.5mm and 4.4mm audio connections

Cons

  • Portable design won’t suit a permanent hi-fi setup so well

Womier Retro 75% Gaming Keyboard With Oled Display&knob, M87 Pro Bluetooth 5.1/2.4ghz /usb-C Wireless Mechanical Keyboard With Hot-Swappable Custom Switch, Compact Gamer Rgb Keyboard-Grey

Womier Retro 75% Gaming Keyboard

Womier’s retro keyboard comes in that pale gray / cream color we’ve all come to remember, with the added flash of red, yellow, blue and green alternate keys as well. Even without that retro design, though, you’re still getting sturdy value here. This is a wireless deck with an OLED display, control dial, and hot-swappable switches – all for less than $75.

Pros

  • Retro PC design
  • Control dial
  • Hot-swappable switches
  • Tidy wireless connection
  • OLED display

Cons

  • Slightly shorter battery life compared to more premium options

Kodak Ektar H35 Half Frame 35mm Camera, Reusable, Focus-Free, Lightweight, Easy to Use (aaa Battery Not Included) (sage, Bundle With 24-Exposure Film)

Kodak Ektar H35 Half Frame 35mm Camera

Analog photography is back in fashion, and the Kodak Ektar H35 is the easiest way to get into film without having to forego the ease of point and shoot. This is a modern release, so beginners still get a nice amount of hand holding around focus and aperture. But the results still have that dreamy quality to every half frame shot developed.

Pros

  • Easy to use, great for beginners to film photography
  • Classic, understated design
  • Lightweight, easy to carry
  • Flash built in
  • Half frame photos means more film per roll

Cons

  • Requires AAA battery
  • More difficult digitalization

Polaroid Go Generation 3 - Mini Instant Film Camera - Black (9192) - Only Compatible With Go Film

Polaroid Go Generation 3

Want something a bit more instant? That’s where the good old Polaroid comes in. The Polaroid Go Gen 3 is one of the latest releases, but it’s also one of the brand’s cheapest. It takes mini film rather than the full Polaroid width, but it’s compact, easy to shoot, and still provides that classic shake-it moment (tip, don’t actually shake them).

Pros

  • Easy point and shoot instant camera
  • Compact and easily portable
  • Selfie mirror
  • Double exposure
  • Self-timer

Cons

  • Only compatible with Go film
  • Smaller photos
