Pearl Abyss has announced Crimson Desert Enhanced: a new update for the massive open-world game bringing new story moments to the game.

During Gamescom Opening Night Live 2026 Pearl Abyss unleashed a new trailer for Crimson Desert. However, it wasn’t a trailer for the DLC expansion, or even some new animals to tame like most updates before it. The trailer touted “new story moments,” being added to the game, which should hopefully flesh out the narrative – which many consider to be the weakest part of the game.

Alongside the story changes, Pearl Abyss announced an “expanded voice over” with German, French, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, and Japanese options being made available, as well as Arabic subtitles and UI.
