will flying 100 gunship missions help ?

Hi: I can only play amiga gunship on simulation mode (invincible) and it yields 30 poins of experience per mission. If I go harder level, I get killed. If I play about a hundred missions (on simulator) will I get the chance to get promoted ? Thank you !!!
