Charles Cecil, the visionary head of Revolution Software, who created classic adventure games such as Broken Sword, Lure of the Temptress and Beneath a Steel Sky will be appearing at Play Expo on Saturday 11th October.

Charles will take to the stage to discuss the challenges of truly engaging with your audience. He will also recount his personal history of the adventure game, from the 1981 ZX81 game Inca’s Curse through to 2014′s episodic title Broken Sword: The Serpent’s Curse.

Charles is a superb public speaker and one of the heroes of the British video games industry. In 2006, he was awarded the status of “Development Legend” by Develop. He was appointed Member of the Order of the British Empire in the Queen’s 2011 Birthday Honours for services to the video game industry.

Play Expo will be held in Manchester’s Event City on 11th and 12th of October. Tickets are available here. You can also check out  the event on Facebook here.
