Diablo 4’s deeply nostalgic season 15 is loaded with all sorts of neat references to the series’ history, including a whole quest recreating OG Diablo’s critical path and an entire armor set themed around the notoriously elusive cow level first introduced in Diablo 2. Players were pretty quick to find out how to get all of the pieces of the Bovine armor set except one: the gloves, or the Foreshanks, sending the community into a weeks-long treasure hunt that, until now, has come up empty. As it turns out, the Bovine Foreshanks simply hadn’t been added into the game until now. See, there’s a cow you have to pet to get the gloves, and that cow didn’t exist until patch 3.2.3 went live this week.
As reported by Icy Veins and independently verified by me, the newest version of Diablo 4 adds a cow that spawns in Old Tristram behind the Cathedral. All you have to do is pet the cow and it’ll drop the Foreshanks of the Bovine. It’s really as simple as that. Diablo 4 players have been tearing apart season 15 looking for the missing piece of the cow armor set for weeks, and Blizzard just casually snuck it into a patch with no mention of it in the patch notes. That’s, uh, that’s gotta sting a little.
On the bright side, Diablo 4’s tireless loot chasers can finally acquire the full set, with this handy guide from Auscraft detailing exactly where to track down each piece. Now, depending on how you like to transmog your Diablo 4 character, you might find the Bovine set utterly repulsive or extremely cool. Personally, I’m a huge fan. It’s disgusting, and I don’t know how else Blizzard could’ve paid tribute to such a beloved part of Diablo history other than going full camp and making the armor look like an actual live cow grazing the fields of Old Tristram. I’ll let you be the judge:
The Foreshanks of the Bovine have been found, completing all 5 pieces of Diablo 4’s Bovine Armor set. Here’s where every piece drops, from the Cow King to a secret fishing island… 🔥 https://t.co/xt41KrYmET #Diablo #Diablo4 https://t.co/TjWeXulSpNOctober 15, 2026
