Jade Empire Is Free On Origin

Remember Jade Empire? It got rave reviews a decade ago, when it originally appeared as one of the last major exclusives for Microsoft’s original Xbox – our sister magazine GamesTM was relatively conservative in awarding it 8/10. The game was BioWare’s first major venture after Star Wars: Knights Of The Old Republic and thrust players into a world of martial arts and mysticism. Two years later, the game was made available for PC.

Well, there’s good news whether you remember it or you’re hearing of it for the first time – the PC version (dubbed Jade Empire: Special Edition) is available for free right now on EA’s Origin service, meaning that you can either relive the adventure or experience it for the very first time.

You can get the game by clicking here – you’ll need to download Origin and create an EA Account to get it, if you haven’t already done so. It’s a small price to pay for the game, especially considering the fact that our readers voted it as one of the top ten original Xbox games in issue 144 earlier this year.
