Make This Amazing Wind Waker Lego Set Real

windwakerlegoThe Retro Gamer team loves cool gaming merchandise. Darran has a statue of Link and Epona on his desk; Nick has Metal Sonic keeping guard of his monitor 24/7. But we could always use more, and this Lego set would be an excellent addition to our rapidly-growing collection of gaming tat. Based on The Legend Of Zelda: The Wind Waker, this set provides an island as well as the King Of Red Lions and some enemies to bash.

Sadly, it’s not yet real – it’s just a project on Lego’s website Ideas, which is a kind of community suggestion box for things Lego should do. The King Of Red Lions set is currently at just over 6,000 supporters and needs 10,000 to make it to Lego’s review process. If you want to add your support to the campaign, visit the project page here.

If you’re a big fan of Link’s cel-shaded adventure, you might wish to know that we covered it last year in Retro Gamer issue 121, including an interview with the game’s director, Eiji Aonuma. If you want to read that feature, pick up a digital copy here.
