Syndicate Free On Origin

After offering the excellent Theme Hospital for free not too long ago, EA’s Origin service is currently offering Syndicate for free as part of its “On The House” promotion. It’s yours to keep once you’ve downloaded it, but there’s no word on when Bullfrog’s classic isometric tactics title will be replaced as part of this promotion so you’d best act quick if you want to get in on it.

If you’re unfamiliar with Origin, it’s basically EA’s digital retail service – an equivalent to other PC download services such as Steam. As well as offering the company’s new PC releases, it also plays host to classics such as the Wing Commander series, the Command & Conquer series and Dungeon Keeper.

Once you’ve played some Syndicate without financially aiding a mega-corporation, why not go back in time and read Retro Gamer’s feature on the making of the game? While it’s long out of print, you can still get it now by grabbing a digital copy of Retro Gamer issue 69 via GreatDigitalMags.com, which also features The Complete History Of Final Fantasy and an interview with Geoff Crammond.
