Theme Hospital Free On Origin

themehospital

We’re big fans of Theme Hospital – we love treating the ridiculous diseases such as Bloaty Head, King Complex and Hairyitis (something that Nick seems to be in the early stages of at present). If you’re similarly enamoured with the excellent sequel to Theme Park, you may wish to have a look at EA’s Origin service right now, as it’s currently offering the game for free as part of its “On The House” promotion. There’s no word on when the game will be replaced as part of this promotion, so you’d best act quick if you want to get in on it.

If you’re unfamiliar with Origin, it’s basically EA’s digital retail service – an equivalent to other PC download services such as Steam. As well as offering the company’s new PC releases, it also plays host to classics such as the Wing Commander series, the Command & Conquer series, Syndicate and Dungeon Keeper.

Once you’ve played some Theme Hospital for the sweetest price of all, why not read about how the game was made? It’s a fascinating tale, which includes the developers getting kicked out of a real operating theatre, angry NHS bosses and the “fart DAT,” and you can get it now by grabbing a digital copy of Retro Gamer issue 130 via GreatDigitalMags.com.
