Netflix recently revealed that a brand new animated show based on Konami’s hit Castlevania series will be heading to Netflix later this year.

Produced by Adi Shankar, Netflix’s new show will be spread across four 30-minute episodes with a second season to follow in 2018. It’s written by famed comic book author Warren Ellis, who is also producing alongside Shankar, Kevin Kolde and Fred Seibert.

Animation is being handled by Frderator Studios, the same company behind the excellent Adventure Time, and Shankar is promising it to be “the western world’s first good videogame adaptation”.

Needless to say, we’ll have more news as it’s announced.
