Hi Backers,

I’ve just uploaded an improved (hopefully) new preview of the Central Park In Game Theme from Last Ninja 2. I think it sounds tougher and much more faithful to the original. As I’ve said before this track is tricky in that the bassline moves at pace all over the place frequency wise which makes for a tough job on nailing the bottom end of the mix. I’ve left the other preview up for a proper compare and contrast and as usual I’ll take people’s comments on board. See what you think.

As you may have heard via FB I met up with Mark Cale of System 3 on Friday to finalise an agreement between us so that I can use images, etc from Last Ninja 2 for the album and in return he can use some of my remakes for the forthcoming Last Ninja HD Remake that System 3 are planning. I don’t know which tracks if any he will want to use but it was great to catch up after so many years. Sadly he informed me that Tim Best, one of the designers on Last Ninja 2 whom I met whenever I went to their base, died back in 2008. But overall it was a positive trip down 8 bit memory lane.

More updates soon.

Best wishes,

Matt
