If you’re a home computer of a certain age, you might well remember Colin Jones’ Slightly Magic – an arcade adventure released through Codemasters for the ZX Spectrum, Commodore 64, Amstrad CPC, Amiga and Atari ST. It was well-received when it launched in 1991, earning 94% from Your Sinclair and 89% from Sinclair User.

The good news is that it’s now back on computers via Steam, in a remastered edition that retains that classic Spectrum look without the attribute clash of yesteryear. Slightly Magic: 8bit Legacy Edition also includes a developer’s commentary, new secret rooms and a remastered soundtrack by Allister Brimble.

Right now you can pick up the game for £2.87, a sum of money fractionally smaller than that required to purchase the game 25 years ago. If you want to pick it up for this price, you’ll need to be quick – the game will return to its regular price of £4.79 on October 6th.
