Descent Underground Hits Early Access

Having successfully found Kickstarter funding earlier in the year, Descent: Underground has hit another milestone today with the release of its first gameplay trailer (which you can see above) and a playable Early Access build, available via Steam. It’s another step towards the end of a long wait for fans of the series, who haven’t seen a new Descent game since 1999.

The usual caveats of Early Access products apply here: the game is far from complete and comes with some hefty recommended requirements. You’ll definitely want to look before you leap as it costs £19.08 (discounted from £22.99) to get involved. However, early community impressions seem positive and we like the look of the trailer.

Let us know what you think in the comments below – have you bought in? If so, what do you think? If not, what’s keeping you from taking the plunge?
