Has it really been 20 years since Lara Croft first backflipped across our screens, firing her twin pistols? Blimey, it has. To celebrate, a concert has been scheduled for 18th December at the Hammersmith Apollo featuring Nathan McCree’s music from the original games, as performed by the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra. To accompany the musical performance, there will be a giant screen featuring footage and images from the past 20 years of the Tomb Raider franchise.

Tomb Raider was originally developed by Core Design and made its debut on the Sega Saturn on 25th October 1996. Since then it has spawned ten sequels, as well spin-off videogames, a trading card game, comics, films, novels and more. Currently, the franchise is owned by Square Enix and developed by Crystal Dynamics, which most recently released Rise Of The Tomb Raider for Xbox One in 2015. The updated 20 Year Celebration edition of the game is due to make its way to PS4 later this year.
